What are Biorhythms

Biorhythm calculates emotional, physical and intellectual constitution with your date of birth as the start point. The biorhythm begins on the date of birth with the bio-curve in the active phase, in the second half of the calculated period the bio-curve crosses the zero line and falls into the passive phase. At the end of the rhythm the trend turns again toward the active phase. All crossing points from active to passive (and passive to active) are known as critical days (potentially "Bad Days"). Very critical days happen when more than one curve meets the zero point on the same day.

The 3 Primary Biorhythms:

  • The Physical Curve
  • The Emotional Curve
  • The Intellectual Curve

The Physical Curve
This 23 day curve tracks our stamina, energy and strength cycle. With the curve in the active phase, physical attributes point towards good stamina and energy levels. With the curve in the passive phase physical attributes point towards tiredness and greater requirements for pauses and relaxation.

The Emotional Curve
This 28 day curve tracks our phychic stability and energy. With the curve in the active phase, emotional attributes point towards optimism together with the capacity to empathize with and build rapport with other people. With the curve in the passive phase emotional attributes tend towards depressiveness, dejection and irritability.

The Intellektual Curve
This 33 day curve influences logic, adaptability, reasoning, analytical and creative abilities. The active phase of this curve indicates higher capability for learning, descision making and analysing. The passive phase of this curve indicates lower concentration levels and reduced ability in completing difficult tasks.

History

Biorhythms discovered in the beginning of 20th century by Berliner doctor, Wilhelm Fliess ((* 24. October 1858; d. 13. October 1928, german biologist & doctor). He discovered, by means of the medical histories of his patients, correlating rhythms. These rhythms, in active and passive phases for bodily, mental and spiritual areas of humans, lead to Biorhythms. Starting from the day of birth he plotted the above described biorhythm curves.

Every one has, without doubt, good and bad days where we feel fit, can think clearly and can assert good self discipline or where we feel depressed, unable to concentrate or confused. The reasons for these changes are unknown but could be possibly explained with Biorhythmic cycles.

Even today research into biorhythms exists and, although not yet scientifically proved, there are some very interesting results which support the theory. Find out for yourself, compare regularly your own self with your biorhythm charts (simply visit pinkies biorhythms) and decide for yourself.

I-Ching Biorhythms

One of the oldest forms of Biorhythm divination comes from one of the oldest surviving books in the world, the book I-Ching, which was written over 3000 years ago. The cycles of change, Aesthetic, Self-Awareness, Spiritual and Compassion , are based on this book.

  • Compassion Rhythm
  • Aesthetic Rhythm
  • Self-awareness Rhythm
  • Spiritual Rhythm
