Hair
For gloss and dandruff reduction - add 20ml malt vinegar to the final rinsing water after shampooing brown hair, or use lemon juice for fair hair.
For shiny, soft hair - after shampooing, massage cold tea into your scalp and rinse off.
Change your shampoo from time to time to revive lank and lifeless hair.

Eyes
For tired eyes - place a damp used tea-bag over each eye, relax for 10 minutes. Remove and splash the eyes with cold water.
Encourage eyelash growth - lightly coat at night with almond oil using an eyebrow brush.
Eyeliner - put in the fridge for 1/2 hour before sharpening.

Body:
Revitalise body skin with a sea-salt rub before a bath. Mix 250g sea-salt to a paste with warm water. Rub the paste over your body with a face cloth until the skin tingles. Rinse off in the bath or shower. Moisturise your skin after drying.

Stress

One of the most effective, natural stress reliefs must be to take a wonderful, deep, hot bath where you can relax and enjoy the peace and silence. With a little creativity you can make your 'personal relax time' into something a little extra special:

Bathe in candlelight - turn off that strong electric light just for a moment!

Treat yourself to a tranquillity cd and play it while you bathe - remember to keep it safely away from the water

Relaxing herb bath - add fresh herbs to a muslin bag and hang it around the hot tap allowing the water to run through the herbs as the bath fills. Relaxing herbs include elderflower, chamomile, lime flowers, hops and jasmine. Rose petals are also wonderful and give a touch of luxury.

Go Egyptian - add 3tbsp of powdered full milk and 110g fresh herbs (elderflowers, chamomile or lime flowers) to a muslin bag and put it in the bath water

Add 5-10 drops essential oils - add the oils after the bath has filled

Cystitis:
Immediately an attack of cystitis starts, mix 1 tsp (5g) baking soda a small glass of hot water drink each hour for three hours only. This helps to kill germs and reduce inflammation. Cranberry Juice is proven to reduce and help prevent cystitis. Fruit juices, generally, are thought to help prevent the cystitis bacteria attaching to the bladder.

Coughs:
Mix together 1 grated onion, 20g demerara sugar, 5ml lemon juice and 1 tsp honey. Stand for at least 6 hours. Take 2 tsp when necessary. Sage tea soothes a persistent cough.

Tension:
Camomile tea is good for nervous tension and insomnia. Rosemary is useful for tension that is causing depression.

Menstruation:
Evening primrose oil has been proven to improve PMS symptoms in 85% of women - available in capsule form from health shops and chemists.
